Can Social Blogging Make You Thousands By Next Month?

Since today is Christmas Eve day I thought it would be a great idea to take some out for my family. We have all been going our own separate ways for months now so a little family time was necessary.

We were on our way to visit some relatives and stopped at a local convenience store for a drink for everyone – the normal tradition when on a road trip. On my way into the store my daughter slipped and fell on some ice – no fault of anyone just teenager shoes in the wrong weather. Of course my daughter says the weather was suppose to be warm and sunny – to that I say “Sure everyone expects beach weather in December – I blame the staff at the weather forecasting centers!”

As I was helping her get up this well dressed senior couple was getting out of their vehicle and came over to help. Once we helped my daughter in the store, I thanked the couple and through a conversation with them, we found out they were Internet Marketers, currently using Social Blogging to further their success. Now I know this sounds a bit weird but bear with me… this couple has done very well financially thanks to the Internet.

Prior to making a great income online they were in sales with a reputable Real Estate Firm but were tired of the open houses, long hours and canceled appointments. They were looking to live the life of luxury before they passed on to another life. In 2002 they accidentally fell into the online business – they were shopping online and were presented with an advertisement through a pop-up. They decided to check it out and the rest is history.

They started out as affiliates and they stayed as affiliates, now making huge dollars, which they didn’t discuss nor did I pry. In asking to meet with them sometime they agreed to a meeting in January 2009. Now whether this really materializes or not doesn’t matter.

My point to all of this is:

Meeting these people and hearing their story, has motivated me even further than I already have been. It should help you to realize this business is no different than off line sales – you need to be out talking about your business, letting people know what you are doing. Business cards, community bulletin boards for ads, newspaper ads, volunteer and get some publicity that way.
This couple is a prime example of the power of advertising online – had someone not put that ad up they would never have considered getting into the Internet Marketing business. You need to so what other successful marketers are doing – no point in taking short cuts.

Your News Year Resolution should be, no matter what, to want to live the life of luxury and enjoy your time with your family – Get a successful online business going

Will it be hard work?

It sure will but it will be worth it in the long run. You will meet people online but off line as well, in some circumstances.
