Have you heard of Free Internet Advertising for Your Business?

Free Internet Advertising for your business seems like an impossible thing when heard. But there are several ways by which the cost of advertisement can be conserved, with the help of some imagination and creativity.

A business wanting to advertise, can write articles related to their field of expertise that can be submitted to media and publications having interest in that particular field. The advertising article can have information about the company and dealership opportunity. Due to the rise in Internet users and websites, new websites have sprung up which offer free services. Articles can be written for these websites and they can be broadcasted for free, which will be viewed by hundreds of people everyday.

Once the business has gained some recognition, within no time it will gain popularity also among the crowds. This popularity can lead to them being invited on radio and television talk shows and even to interviews. Such kind of opportunities shouldn’t be missed as they provide a chance for free promotion. If it is taking a long time to get a break, the producer can be addressed with a letter that can be followed up by a telephone call or in-person visit. During the visit, the nature of expertise can be discussed about the business, which will be of interest to the viewers of the particular channel. Once a businessperson gains the status of being public-friendly, more offers start pouring in.

Do You Believe Your Internet Business Plan Could Fail?

Yesterday we talked about you answering questions about your passions, interests, desires. Before starting your Internet Business Plan it was recommended you do some soul searching to see what makes you tick.

How did you do with the exercise?

Did you learn some things about yourself?

Do you have a clear picture of what it is you are really looking for?

Since you have completed that part of what we will call the Pre-Plan work, now it is time to move on to understand what content you should be looking for.

Your passion and interests will greatly effective the niche you choose, you want to make sure there is actually a market out there for your particular niche. What you like is not necessarily going to relate to the Internet Audience’s interests. The only way your business will ever have a chance at success is dependent on who is looking for your product and/or services.

Your content is going to be dependent on what it is the Internet Community is looking for not what you think they are looking for. If you complete your research properly the data will confirm what it is your audience is interested in, again not what you think they are interested in.

There have been thousands of websites created on people assuming what someone else would be interested in. Some of the best looking sites out there have the worst sales results while an ugly site could be raking in thousands per month.

Not only is it important to research to find out what it is people are looking for on the internet but you need to believe in the statistics, take what the data is telling you and work with it. Do Not Ignore the Facts – This one piece of advice could save you months of work and lost revenue, which could be as high as thousands.

What keywords are people plugging into Google to find the answers to their problems?

As an example, if someone wants to know what HTML is they would type in “What is HTML” and the first thing they should see is a web definition for HTML. You will notice there are 74,300 other sites using this phrase as a keyword exact phrase to attract traffic.

Does this mean you have no chance at being successful using this keyword phrase?

Not necessarily, right now you know what your competition is, 74300 other sites using this keyword phrase but what you need to know to understand your chances for success using this keyword phrase is how many searches are being performed each month for this keyword phrase.

Using Micro Niche Finder, state of the art keyword research tool, as of this writing there was 4,400 searches completed on that actual keyword phrase in the past 30 days. According to Micro Niche this keyword phrase is definitely worth going after.

Compared to unique searches versus competition it should be a relatively lucrative keyword to go after and attract traffic with.

Once you have a decent list of keywords within your niche (2000-4000) you are ready to explore a bit further.

Who is your target market and what are they buying?

This is where things get a bit more in depth as you are looking for demographics of your audience and buying habits.

There is a really neat site called Quantcast, where you will find the demographics of your audience. What you need to do is record the top 20 websites in your niche – this should have been found in your Google searching during the research phase.

Type each name in to Quantcast and understand the results you are getting back – this is really not that difficult – take a look at the different descriptions and then record the details for each website. We found either an excel spreadsheet or an open office spreadsheet was best suited for this exercise.

Once you understand who your audience is search ask.com to find out the buying habits of your audience or Google analytics would be a great place to go as well. We offer courses on this type of action if you would like some help in this area – leave a comment or drop us a line if it would be something you would be interested in – Once we have interest from a minimum of 20 individuals we would start our next class in March 2009.

Your Internet Business Plan has a great base – so far you know your passions, interests and desires, now you also know more about your audience than 90% of most newbies starting an Internet Business today do.

Tomorrow we will review some more resources you need to know about in order to have a successful research project on your internet business plan. Click on the RSS Feed to continue to follow us throughout this project and quest to become successful online by learning from a company who knows.

Do You Want PLR Products as Part of Your Marketing Strategy? Part 4 of 9

Well as you guys no doubt know, to really succeed with our internet marketing careers, we need to have great digital products that convert all of our qualified leads into real, cash-paying customers.

For many people, coming up with products will involve them creating them on their own, or it may involve them commissioning other professionals to do the hard work for them, which makes it difficult to put this marketing strategy to good use.

Chances are though, like most smart internet marketers, you probably want to save a whole lot of time and money.  After all, if you were to create your own e-book for instance, expect to spend tens of hours doing the research you need, and then writing the book itself – and that’s if you’re only semi-decent at writing.

If you’re a good writer, it will still take you hours and hours and if you’re terrible, well, forget it, because your e-book won’t sell! Now, you certainly won’t go wrong by hiring a good writer to create a really good e-book, but think about how much a good writer is going to cost you.

Wouldn’t you rather spend that money on getting visitors to your site so you can make more money?

I’m pretty sure, like me, you’re always looking for ways to save time and money on your internet marketing business.  I’ll easily spend hours each week just reading up on the latest internet marketing happenings and news, in the endless search of improving the way I do business. Read more

Last week I was on a coaching call and was faced with what was thought to be an irritating question. One of the students on the call asked how soon people will see their site, now that their site was published to the Internet.

If only we all could do things that easily – Setup your website and traffic would start flowing to the site in droves – Yeah Right – and then you woke up! You need to face reality and understand traffic will flow to your website in droves, if you have the proper marketing strategy.

The success of your website will rely heavily on your marketing strategy. Some things you really need to pay heed to are:

How soon will your website be published to the Internet?

  • 1 week
  • 3 months
  • 7 months
  • 10 months
  • 13 months

There is absolutely no point in starting your marketing strategy before your website goes live. Just in case you actually wonder why – no one can see your website when it is not published to the web. This is not saying you shouldn’t have your marketing strategy plan in place. Once you publish your website you can waste no time implementing your marketing strategy right away.

Once you publish your website how are you going to market your web presence to the Internet Community? Read more

Here we are just a few days before Christmas and trying to tie up last minute tasks. 2008 is coming to an end and a New Year will be opening up bringing new challenges and opportunities, some business will survive while others will not be so lucky.

At the beginning of every year comes New Years Resolutions, where people talk about changing their lives around for better and want more for themselves and their families. The Internet has been the focus of many New Years Resolutions – you want to make more money, work from your home, you dream of a better life for your family. Online you can get started with less capital than offline and see cash flow much faster than offline.

Can this be true for everyone?

Have you heard of social media – what about Web 2.0 Marketing?

Social media is very commonly used by Internet Marketers to promote not only your website but also to market yourself as a trusted source to do business with. Let’s face it, there are thousands of web sites being created everyday on the World Wide Web.

How do you know who to trust, who is reputable? Read more

Web Site Analytics – Are You Getting Visitors From Prisons?

Web Site analytics is widely used by business to business as well as business to consumer online merchants. This data is used to examine a multitude of markets and track customers accurately.

Tracking visitors accurately is very important for most websites – as an advertiser you should use web analytics to get customer conversion rates, page views, length of time visiting the site and other related data.

Usually, web analytics software tracks visitor behavior by putting in a piece of tracking code on every page of the site. The tracking code transmits info to the analytics application utilizing a miniature gif image or a compressed JavaScript code. To identify returning visitors, tracking ID stored in a cookie is used.

A key point of analytics is understanding the multiple channels sending traffic to your website. Google,Yahoo,MSN and Ask are the primary sources for direct traffic for 90% of the websites. There still remains a collection of data that reports data coming from natural references on various other sites. As an example these could be referrals from well-established social networks, link building efforts, and/or affiliates who send traffic. Read more

Web Analytics – Does Your Business Strategy Need Adjusting?

In our last post (December 18, 2008) we discussed the importance of web analytics as it relates to your internet business. How to interpret and analyze key data from your business activities is imperative to your continued success.

Traffic is great But what about knowing about your traffic, other than it is getting better (increasing) or getting worse (decreasing). Executive overviews of traffic stats needs to include comparative analysis which will provide solid insights into how well your strategies are working.

How do you know what to adjust in your strategy?

Your answer could be- adjust what?

You may be happy or excited about the strategy you are using and maybe you are enjoying some results. You believe these results are good enough, why change anything?

Here is a story about our friend Bill to help illustrate our point:

A few years ago a friend of mine, his name was Bill, built a website to sell MP3 players for which the first two months he received very little traffic. (under 5 visitors a day)

After the first few months his website began to average 75 visitors per day and then suddenly spiked to 150 per day Read more
